What we are trying to help here is :

Do you realise most of the credit cards claims that the rebate for some supermarkets grocery shopping is up to x%^, while ^ means you have to minimum spend Y dollars in order to earn x% rebate ?

For Example:

A credit card from bank A claims, if you purchase groceries from supermarket X, you will earn 10%^ rebate.

Underlying the terms and conditions are as such:
When the total spent is more than 50 dollars, you will earn 10% rebate.
If the total spend is less than 50 dollars, you will earn 4% rebate.

In this context, the rebate when you purchase 49 dollars and 51 dollars are 1.96 and 5.1 respectively.
